Making Yourself Clear
Terms of Service
Version 1
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Executive Sound Board (“the Company”, “we”), which operates the Myc service (“Making Yourself Clear”). They govern your use of the hosted service. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms.
The service
Myc analyzes meeting transcripts to produce developmental communication coaching. Before any transcript is sent to an AI provider, personal names are reduced to initials and other personal details are replaced with placeholder tokens; the redacted text is analyzed and returned to you with names restored for readability.
Coaching output is generated by automated AI systems and is provided for personal communication-skills development only. It may be inaccurate or incomplete, is not professional, legal, medical, or HR advice, and must not be used as the basis for employment, hiring, disciplinary, or other decisions about any individual.
Your content and your responsibilities
You own your transcripts and the analyses generated for you. You grant the Company a limited licence to host, redact, analyze, store, and display that content solely to provide the service to you.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions to upload each transcript, including having given any notices to, and obtained any consents from, meeting participants that applicable law requires for recording and transcription. Recording-consent laws vary by location, and compliance is your responsibility.
Where you connect a meeting account (for example Zoom or Google Meet), you authorize Myc to import text transcripts of meetings you host — text only, never audio — and you can disconnect at any time.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your data. In summary: PII redaction is applied before any AI call; transcripts and analyses are encrypted at rest; we do not use your content to train AI models; and we contract with AI providers on terms intended to prevent them from doing so. Encryption at rest protects against cold/backup exposure and is not “zero-knowledge” — the service must decrypt content in memory to generate an analysis.
Acceptable use
You will not upload content you lack the rights or consents to submit; use the output to make prohibited decisions about individuals; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the service’s prompts, taxonomy, or methodology; resell or provide the service to third parties; interfere with or overload the service; or use it unlawfully.
Fees and subscriptions
Some features are free and others require a paid subscription; current plans and prices are shown at checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, and you can cancel at any time in your account settings. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
Our intellectual property
The service, and all software, prompts, taxonomy, scoring methodology, and designs we provide (excluding your content), are owned by the Company or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service during your subscription.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that the output is accurate, complete, or suitable for any decision. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited as set out in the full Terms.
Termination
You may stop and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, or as required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; your content is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and retention terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will provide notice and, where the acceptance gate is enabled, ask you to review and accept the updated version before continuing. The version you accept is recorded with a timestamp.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over disputes.
