Connecting Zoom to Myc

Myc can import your own Zoom cloud-recording transcripts, so you get coaching on your real meetings without downloading and uploading files by hand. It’s opt-in and host-only — Myc accesses only meetings you host, never anyone else’s — and read-only for your recordings.

1Adding Myc — connect your Zoom account

  1. In Myc, open Account → Connected apps (app.makingyourselfclear.com/client/account/integrations).
  2. On the Zoom card, click “Connect Zoom.”
  3. Authorize Myc on Zoom’s consent screen.
  4. You’re returned to Connected apps, where Zoom now shows a “Connected” badge.

Optionally, Myc can turn on cloud recording and audio transcription in your Zoom account for you (“Turn on Zoom transcripts for me”), so future meetings you host automatically produce a transcript Myc can analyze. Cloud recording requires a licensed (paid) Zoom plan.

2Using it — import a transcript and get coaching

  1. Once connected, Myc surfaces your Zoom cloud recordings that have a transcript.
  2. When a new transcript is found, it’s held for you to review under “Meetings ready to review” — nothing is analyzed automatically by default.
  3. Open a meeting, confirm who’s being coached and your role, then choose “Confirm & analyze” to start the coaching analysis yourself (or “Decline” to skip that meeting).
  4. Your coaching feedback appears in your analyses once it’s ready.

Prefer more automation? On the Zoom card’s settings you can switch from “Ask me each time” (the default) to “Analyze automatically,” or “Do nothing automatically.”

3Removing Myc — disconnect

  1. In Myc, open Account → Connected apps and click “Disconnect” on the Zoom card. This revokes Myc’s access to your Zoom account and stops all future imports.
  2. You can also remove Myc directly from Zoom: in Zoom, go to Manage → Installed Apps, find Myc, and click Remove.

Removing Myc from Zoom causes Myc to delete the data it obtained from your Zoom account.

How your Zoom data is handled

Your transcripts, the coaching derived from them, and your Zoom access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Names are redacted before any AI processing, your data is never used to train AI models, and it is never sold.
